THE MOON

The moon also known as Luna is Earth’s only satellite. A small globe with no atmosphere, dotted with large and small meteor craters. Its surface is made of rolling hills, vast plains, also called oceans, and deep canyons. All covered by a thick layer of dust billions of years old. The Moon has a fixed rotation, it always faces the same side towards Earth. The light from the Moon is reflected light from the Sun.

The first human to set foot on the moon was Neil Armstrong, USA.
